Dirty, dirty kids!

When we were visiting Wisconsin, William and Callie were climbing up this big dirt pile and sliding down with some new friends. They all go SO dirty!!! They had fun!

And again tonight.

My cuties

More sleeping...

He's not usually the one to fall asleep on the couch in the middle of the afternoon, but this day he did. Look at those long legs!

She likes to sleep sandwiched in between her dresser and her toy box.

And sometimes with a pillow covering her up.

An after lunch snooze in front of the "tb".

Still at it

I have caught Callie twice now going potty outside. She can actually do it without getting her clothes wet, but I'm not sure how she doesn't get herself wet. She just sits right on the ground. Gotta keep a closer eye on this girl! And now, because of this, William is no longer allowed to go outside when we are at home. Only while hiking. This does not make him very happy. But we do live on a very busy road!! Privacy, children!

One reason my kids aren't ready to play outside alone...

Callie just came in, literally after 5 minutes of being outside while I could hear them but not see them, and she had nothing on but her little Hello Kitties! "What? Why? What's going on here? Where are your clothes?" She was so surprised that I had a problem with this! I go outside, and sure enough, there's William in his Power Rangers! "What are you doing?" They were completely clueless as to why this might be a problem. Their explaination. They "wanted to". I tried to explain that their "underoos are for private" but William innocently said that no one had seen his privates. Aaahh! Hopefully I explained well enough that this will not happen again. We'll see.

A couple hours ago they were out back playing Adam and Eve in our "Garden of Eden" as they call the tall grassy area. But they have not learned the clothing part of that story yet. They didn't even understand what I meant when I told them to stay away from the fruit. William just told me, "there's no fruit in here". So, I don't think that's what they were doing.

They're just crazy kids!!! But they are now clothed crazy kids....oh, I should have taken the opportunity to check for tics since they were in that tall grass. Oh, well. Next time.

We used some Christmas money to go to the circus. The kids loved it! William gave it a thumbs up when I asked if he was having fun.

Wm's breakfast request

This morning Wm decided to get the breakfast fixings out. On the counter was peanut butter, jelly, bread and chocolate syrup. Sadly for him he ended up having cherios and grapes. Then he requested an apple...and his specifications were, "a round one, with no seeds or stem, like toilet paper, so I can stick my fingers in it and spin it"....That would be cored but not cut. He ate half.

Two quick kid-isms

Both call Pocahontas....Hocapontas (I'm sure I didn't spell either of those right, but you know what I mean)

And Wm called Callie's hippopotamus a 'Hippo Thomas' the other day.

And we played red light green light yesterday!! Fun! and Funny!
